Clare is a former Senior Civil Servant with over 20 years’ experience of leading and developing large multi-disciplinary teams to devise and deliver government policy and strategies for Ministers in departments such as DESNZ ,BEIS and DTI.

Clare has worked in a range of policy areas such as energy, business, cyber security, resilience and net zero transition. Her experience combines high level, conceptual policy and regulatory formulation with hands on policy delivery, commercial negotiation and emergency response. Whilst in government, she built up a strong track record of building diverse, high performing teams with strong staff engagement. Having worked at the heart of government for many years, Clare is well placed to support public servants to bolster their policy making and engagement skills .

Clare is now Director of the Policy Key, consultancy, training and coaching business.

She is a qualified coach with a Diploma in Executive Coaching from the internationally certified Association of Executive Coaching (www.aoec.com).
