Lloydette Bai-Marrow is a Solicitor Advocate (Criminal) and one of the UK’s leading anticorruption experts. She has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer specialising in economic crime, investigations and compliance, with clients including multinational organisations, corporations and institutions.


Lloydette has an exceptional track record of leading and managing high-profile and sensitive investigations, providing legal advice and leadership on top-tier cases of economic crime and corruption in the UK and overseas. She has a background of prosecuting complex, multi-jurisdictional criminal cases as a senior UK government lawyer in various departments, including the Crown Prosecution Service, His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, and the Serious Fraud Office. As a Portfolio Non-Executive Director, she draws on her leadership and corporate governance expertise to contribute to strategy development and implementation. Lloydette currently serves as Commissioner for The Gambling Commission, is the Chair of Spotlight on Corruption and Trustee for the Unite Foundation, sits on the Conduct Committee of the accountancy regulator ICAEW, and is on the legal panel of WhistleblowersUK.


She is a reputable international speaker and lecturer on ethics and leadership, compliance, investigations, governance, conflict resolution and economic crime issues. Lloydette has designed and delivered training globally to a broad spectrum of participants, including judges, lawyers, senior civil servants, journalists and politicians. On the FCDO-funded Rule of Law Expertise Programme in Sierra Leone, Lloydette led capacity building and engagement with the national Anti-Corruption Commission and Judiciary for six years. She undertook a year-long project building the capacity of the Law Society of Kenya to undertake its new role as a regulator of the legal profession for AML and CFT. Lloydette has delivered training to Zambia’s Anti-Corruption Commission on leadership, innovation and developments in the anti-corruption landscape. More recently, she trained and coached investigators in the UAE and delivered AML training to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait.
