Paul Gallagher has been a media trainer and consultant since 2007 after more than 15 years as a reporter, editor and foreign correspondent. He advises the United Nations, the World Bank and the OECD. As a consultant for the Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) Paul also worked in the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Morocco and India, training journalists and officials in media skills. He worked globally as a journalist for Reuters and Bloomberg, starting his career with The Irish Times and The Sunday Tribune in Ireland. He led Reuters’ coverage of the war crimes trial of ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. He has an MA in Journalism and a First-Class Honours BA in History and Politics from University College Dublin (UCD).
